Supplies Needed...

For the most consistent and accurate results, use a scale to measure the ground coffee dose as well as the espresso output. Alternatively, you can use a shot glass with volume markings to measure your shots.

You will need to prepare your portafilter with ground coffee in order to program each preset.

Programming the Classe USB Volumetric Presets...

From left to right, the buttons are referred to as the A through E buttons. Buttons A-D can be programmed, while the E button is for the manual start and stop brewing control.

Keep in mind that the presets that are made on the left group are automatically copied to all groups to the right. Any presets programmed on the right groups will stay independent of the left groups.

To start programming the brewing presets, hold the E button on the left group for about 10 seconds until the buttons flash.

Prepare the portafilter with your ideal coffee dose and lock it into the grouphead. With the portafilter prepped and locked in, press the preset button you want to program to start brewing. We will begin with the A button. Press the same button again to stop.

You can repeat this process with the same preset button again if needed, as with any other buttons you’d like to program. Once your presets are programmed correctly, press the E button to save.

You have now successfully programmed your volumetric presets on the Rancilio Classe USB espresso machines!
