The Silvia Pro X takes the proven technology of the Classic Silvia plus additional tools for an even better barista experience. It's equipped with a full menu of functions that allow you to customize and get the most out of your brew, such as Variable Soft Infusion, Automatic Wake Up, and more.

Explore the Silvia Pro X
To access the Functions Menu, press and hold both the + and - buttons on either side of the digital display for a few seconds. You will see “T2” on the screen. From there, you can cycle through the functions menu using the plus or minus buttons. To confirm a menu selection, press the brew button.
To access the group head cleaning cycle on the Silvia Pro X, enter the Functions Menu and find F.01. Press the brew button to confirm your selection. The machine will now take you through three washing cycles. To begin the first cleaning cycle, press the brew button. Further instructions can be found online or in your manual.
In this function, you can put your machine to sleep and set it to wake up at a certain time, pre-heated for brewing. To set a wake-up time, find F.02 in the functions menu and press the brew button. In half-hour increments, you can choose how long from now the unit will wake up, by pressing the plus and minus buttons. Confirm with the brew button, and the unit will go to sleep.
You will see it is still on with the small light in the display. This feature only works for the time allotted and will have to be reset each day. If you would like to get out of sleep mode, simply hit the brew button again.
This function empties your coffee boiler, and is to be used for maintenance, service, or for long-term storage. To enact, simply find F.03 on the function menu, and press the brew button to start. The water will evacuate via the group-head. Be sure to use a bowl or pitcher that will catch the water being dispersed. Once started, you must run until the cycle is completed.
Since the Silvia Pro X is a dual boiler, there is another menu functions to empty the steam boiler. To enact, find F.04 on the Functions Menu and press the brew button to start. F.04 will evacuate the water and pressure via the hot waterspout. Be sure to use a bowl or pitcher that will catch the water being dispersed. Once started, you must run until the cycle is completed.
The Silvia Pro X features an automatic sleep timer that lets you choose a time that the machine will go to sleep, aka standby mode, after use. You can choose from 15 mins, 30 minutes, one hour, or two hours. If you would prefer not to use it, simply choose “off.” The brew button will save your selection.
To manage the temperature units on the machine, find F.06 on the Functions Menu. Here you will be able to switch between Fahrenheit and Celsius. Confirm your preferred selection with the brew button.
Variable Soft Infusion can be found at F.08 on the Functions Menu. This function adds a very soft infusion of hot water from the coffee boiler onto your espresso puck, helping to bloom the coffee and reduce channeling. You can add up to six seconds of Variable Soft Infusion to your espresso. Once selected, the machine will add that timed amount of variable soft infusion to every brew. Use the plus and minus buttons to pick a time and select the brew button to confirm your selection. If you would prefer not to use this function, simply select “off.”
