The RS1 is fully customizable and fully programmable, allowing baristas to dial in each aspect of their coffee creation for an accurate and tasteful espresso.
When you look at your group head information on the touch screen interface, you can see multiple programmable functions that will let you reach new heights in your espresso game. You will see controls for volume, pre-infusion, post-infusion, starting temperature, ending temperature, and time. This becomes your “espresso recipe” which you can test as you dial in.
These variables help you achieve the profile, body, and flavor notes you want to experience. These recipes can also be saved to achieve maximum consistency.
1) Select “Recipe” in the top right corner of the group-head screen.
2) Select “New Recipe” from the drop-down menu.
3) Insert a name, then hit Enter.
5) Save with the back arrow or hit X to cancel.
Congrats! Your recipe is now saved!

3) Choose the saved recipe you would like to use.
